Bryan Adams - Star

What cha gonna be when you grow up?
What cha gonna do when your time is up?
What cha gonna say when things go wrong?
What cha gonna do when you're on your own?

There's a road, long and winding
The lights are blindin' but it gets there
Don't give up, don't look back
There's a silver linin', it's out there somewhere

Everybody wants an answer, everybody needs a friend
We all need a shinin' star on which we can depend
So tonight we're gonna wish upon a star
We never wished upon before
(What cha gonna be when you grow up?)
Find what you're looking for
(What cha gonna do when your time is up?)

There'll be times in your life
Yeah, when you' be dancin' an' shit but you ain't gettin' it
Don't get disillusioned, no, don't expect too much
'Cuz if what you have is all you can get
Just keep on tryin' it, just ain't happened yet

Everybody wants to be winner, everybody has a dream
We all need a shinin' star when things ain't what they seem
So tonight we're gonna wish upon a star
We never wished upon before

(What cha gonna be when you grow up?)
Gotta get where you're headed for
(What cha gonna do when your time is up?)
Oh yeah

Ooh, everybody wants some kindness, everybody needs a break
We all need a shinin' star when things get hard to take
So tonight we're gonna wish upon a star
We never wished upon before
(What cha gonna be when you grow up?)
Yeah, tonight we're gonna wish upon a star
We never wished upon before

What cha gonna be when you grow up?
What cha gonna do when your time is up?
(Gotta find what you're looking for)
What cha gonna say when things go wrong?
(So don't get disillusioned)

What cha gonna do when you're on your own?
(No, don't expect too much)
What cha gonna be when you grow up?
(Yeah)
What cha gonna do when your time is up?
([Incomprehensible] babe)

What cha gonna say when things go wrong?
What cha gonna be when you grow up?
What cha gonna do when your time is up?

Pink Floyd - Coming Back to Life - Division Bell

One Word Folks, i.e. Enjoy!!!!!!

Where were you when I was burned and broken
While the days slipped by from my window watching
Where were you when I was hurt and helpless
Because the things you say and the things you do surround me
While you were hanging yourself on someone else's words
Dying to believe in what you heard
I was staring straight into the shining sun

Lost in thought and lost in time
While the seeds of lifeand the seeds of change were planted
Outside the rain fell dark and slow
While I pondered on this dangerous but irresistible pastime
I took a heavenly ride through our silence
I knew the moment had arrived
For killing the past and coming back to life

I took a heavenly ride through our silence
I knew the waiting had begun
And headed straight..into the shining sun

Bhindeshi Tara: The Foreign Star

.And after a l o o o o ng time, as I write this post, with earphones plugged in my ears, with this wonderful song playing on the PC for which I am writing this post. If you would believe in the power of music, then you will certainly feel the vibes with which I write this post. The magical and E.T. effect a soothing jingle can give to your soul can only be experienced. Even if you do not understand the song as it is sung in a different language, you get connected to it, and it freshen ups the life in your life, isn't it? It is, to me.

Story of this song: I like this TV Show used to be aired on and Indian TV Channel called "Sab TV" in the 2007 era called "Love Story" by Anurag Basu (proclaimed director now), and it has got some amazing nice songs and an energetic and youthful title song called "Tujhey mein dhoondta firoon", originally composed in Bengali as "AaMee ShuDhu Cheysii Tomaay" by a Bengali Rock Band called "Cactus" . The show is based on a love story (goes by the title itself) and has an appealing presence in my memories as it contained some great jingles which I hum every now and then like "Teri Yadein" (Male ver.) or  "Teri Yadein" (Female ver.)  And like the cast of the show too, their On-Screen Presence, the chemistry, physics and arithmetic between them ;) Now as I have mentioned of them, lets get back to the point. And the point is how I heard this song which I am writing this post for. So the Rock Band  "Cactus" sung the original version of  "Tujhey mein dhoondta firoon" and while listening to this song on YouTube, got the links to play the Original Version of this song. I played and I liked it very much too. Its a little different than the Hindi Version, but overall feel is well maintained in both the versions. So I played this song, and while enjoying the different versions of it, got another suggestion on the RHS of the video, and that I clicked upon. I heard the song. I liked the song. I played it once, one more time, and then several times in a row. And downloaded it immediately through JD and transfered it on my cell. And while was about to go to bed, played this song on "Repeat" mode. Heard it even while I was asleep, whole night.

And that song, my friend is the "Bhindeshi Tara" from a National Film Award winning Bengali Movie "Antaheen" in 2009 or the "The Endless Wait" dubbed in English. Click below to play the song and experience the magic yourself.
The word "Bhindeshi Tara" means "Foreign Star" in Bangla.
I find Bengali a very sweet language. It depicts the cultural heritage that the language still holds. All the languages spoken in the world with well maintained ethnicity sounds truthful and beautiful as they speak the words from hear, shows respect and conveys emotions can be experienced in a tale or in form of a book for years and centuries.

Well, hope you enjoy this song!

Six Fundamentals of an Optimistic Life

Six Fundamentals of an Optimistic Life
by HENRIK EDBERG

“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” Winston Churchill

“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” Maria Robinson
“It’s better to be an optimist who is sometimes wrong than a pessimist who is always right.” Unknown
Negative thinking can poison what – from the outside – looks like a pretty good life with opportunities. Pessimism can create ceilings and walls made out of glass where there really are none.
With such forces controlling your inner life your outer life tends to stand pretty still. Your time here waste away. It’s a terrible thing. But you can change. I have. And in this article I’ll share six fundamentals that have been essential for me to make that mental change.

These are things that actually work in real life to change how you view things. However, just knowing these things won’t change your thinking. You have to practice them and fail from time to time and then get back up again and keep using them until they become new habits of thinking.
Focus on what you want.

What do you think about most of the time? Your troubles and worries? If that is the case, if you spend your attention on focusing on what you don’t want then it’s easy to feed the negativity monster in your mind with more energy and to get stuck in analysis paralysis.

But if you instead spend most of your time thinking about what you want out of life in various areas then you become more focused. Your mind starts to spit out solutions to your obstacles. You feel like taking action to start moving step by step towards your goals.
So focus on what you want. Post reminders on post-its and whiteboards in your surroundings to keep your attention where it needs to be. Write down your goal and focus single-mindedly to taking yourself towards it. Ask yourself questions that helps you find the useful and positive such as:
What’s awesome about this situation?
And what is the hidden opportunity in this situation?
Be grateful for what you got

What you want is something out there in the future. But it is also important to view what you have in the right way to keep an optimistic viewpoint.
So appreciate the little and big things in life you have instead of focusing too much on what you don’t have.
Ask yourself: what can I be grateful for in my life right now?
When I ask myself that question I often come up with simple answers such as the roof over my head, the delicious food on my table, having the opportunity to sleep in and the people closest to me.
Avoid negative generalizations.

Negative generalizations about life can really wreck your outlook.

If you for example run into an obstacle or problem then the negative thinker may generalize this as something that is just there and will continue to stay there. While the optimistic thinker views the obstacle as something temporary that can be overcome by taking action (even if that also means failing and learning a few things along the way).

If the negative thinker runs in criticism then s/he may generalize this as something personal, like the other person is out to get him/her and that s/he is somehow a bad or generally an incompetent person just because this piece of criticism.
The optimistic thinker on the other hand will keep some distance to the criticism. S/he thinks that the piece of criticism may be valid for this area of life rather than saying something about everything (if the criticism is about not being on time for meetings at work then that is the issue that needs to be corrected, it does not mean a bad performance in all areas of that job).
The optimistic thinker also keeps in mind that criticism may sometimes not be valid but will arise because the other person has had a bad day, is irritated about something else or hates some part of his or her own life.
Shape the input.

If you let pessimistic and negative thinking into your mind then it will be pretty much impossible to stay optimistic about life.
So shape the input.
Take a closer look at what movies, TV, news, books and music you consume and how they affect you. Look at how the people closer to you too such as friends and family affect your thoughts.
Then take action to reduce or cut out the most negative sources as best you can and replace that void in your life with more time with the positive influences.
Set the context for your day.

What you do early in the day often sets the context for that day.
A good start leads to good day.

Some suggestions that will help you to set the positive context for the day:
§  Spend a few minutes in the morning on thinking about what you want and your goals. This sends you off to highly motivated and focused day.
§  Spend a few minutes being grateful for what you got. This sets you up for a positive mood throughout the day.
§  Exercise. This will help you release inner tensions and worry and fill the space they occupied within you with new energy.
§  Do the most important thing first. This is how I start my day. Today I woke up and did my usual morning ritual that ends with doing the most important thing on my to-do list. And so I started to write this article. This not only makes sure that the most important thing gets done each day. It also makes me feel good about myself and makes the rest of the to-do list feel lighter to move through.
So make an effort early in the day. It really pays off even if you may not always feel like it just after breakfast.
Be good and kind to yourself.

How you view yourself and treat yourself has a huge impact on how you view the world around you and interact with it.
You are at the centre of your world and if you like yourself and are good to yourself then it becomes a lot easier to thinking optimistically about your future and the world around you.

Here are a few of the best ways to be good and kind to yourself:
§  Do the right thing. Do what you deep down think  is the right thing as much as you can – but accept that you will never be able to do it all the time – to increase your self-esteem and your sense of the things you deserve in life.§  Write down five things each night that you are grateful for about yourself. Or appreciate yourself by doing a two minute exercise where you just list small and big things about yourself that you like and good things you have done. You can do this exercise in your mind or on a piece of paper. These two self-appreciation exercises will help you create better thinking habits. Because the more you do things like these, the more this kind of thinking will naturally pop up in your everyday life too. You are changing how you think about yourself and what you have a tendency to focus on (both in yourself and in the world around you).
§  Don’t beat yourself up. It’s just a stupid habit and no one will reward you for it. And it only makes it harder to improve since you will probably start to procrastinate to avoid the pain of your own future self-beatings for example.

15 Cool Ways To Boost Your Creativity - II

    Listen to Mozart
Albert Einstein said he owes his creativity to listening to Mozart pieces. Certain songs and compositions allow the brain to be more creative and function better.
Albert Einstein did not know why this was the case, but he found Mozart compositions to help his thinking.

In the present age the concept of music enhancing your thinking has been scientifically researched and proven. Certain frequencies have a positive effect on increasing your brain’s performance and creativity. Today they are known as Binaural Beats and Iso-chronic Tones.

Basically, scientists have engineered sound-files (I can’t really call them songs) with researched frequencies that have proven to increase brain performance. Simply buy purchasing some of these tracks and listening to them with stereo headphones, you can already notice an effect on your thinking and creativity.

    Meditate
There are certain techniques that allow your mind to find peace and that allow you to silence all the hundreds of thoughts that constantly run through your mind all day.
When you achieve this inner calm, it has all sorts of benefits like being more creative and having better ideas.

    Exercise
The effects of exercise and physical movement on the mind and creativity have been studied for centuries.
There is no doubt that you feel much better after exercise. This is because after you exercise, endorphins (feel-good hormones) are released into your bloodstream.

    Ask For Help
Don’t be scared to ask someone for help or for their opinion. The input from a friend or stranger could be enough to jump-start a whole series of ideas and new creativity.

    Expand Your Horizons
Do something you have never ever done before in your life. Go sky-diving or bungee-jumping. Sign up for classical dance or salsa classes.

The experience of it may be enough to boost your creativity tenfold and give you many new ideas.

    Eat Blueberries
Blueberries are said to be the richest in anti-oxidants and good for your brain an thinking abilities. Eat a handful a day, and even if you don’t get extra creativity, enjoy the taste and the health benefits.

    Stop Doing Drugs
I’m talking about sugars, processed foods, alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes.
(I shouldn’t have to tell you not to do hard drugs!)

Not only will your health benefit, but you will feel much more energetic. The chances are huge that you will find all sorts of new inspiration that comes with your new energy levels once you start eating healthy and stop consuming junk.

    Do Puzzles
Puzzles stimulate your brain to look at a problem from different angles. The easier you are able to open up your mind to new ideas and new approaches, the more likely it will be that you become more creative.

    Make Music
I personally like playing piano. It is relaxing and it allows to experiment with new tones, melodies and ideas. Often while playing an instrument and making music achievers get very creative ideas for their own projects.
If you’ve never played an instrument, why not start with something simple like piano, guitar or the drums?

    Practice
    Practice makes perfect.
Yeah it’s cliché, but it’s true. Do you want to be a great writer? Then write every single day, even if it’s just about your dog.

Do you want to,  be a good designer, or a singer or a professional? Then design something new every day, even if it’s just a logo for your favorite food, sing your heart out and Just BE.

15 Cool Ways To Boost Your Creativity - 1

Feeling burnt out or lacking creative ideas?

This article is especially for all you writers, artists, business owners or anyone looking for some new ways to get their creativity flowing.

Here are 15 ways to give your creativity a jump start:

    Write Your Ideas Down
Get into the habit of writing your ideas down as soon as you get them. This way you train your brain to keep coming up with ideas, and as soon as you get them you write them down.
When they are written down you don’t have to worry about remembering them and this allows more room for new ideas to form in your mind.

    Relax
Good ideas and creativity usually do not appear under stress. When you are relaxed and rejuvenated, creative ideas usually come rather naturally.
Take a walk on the beach, take a nap, go and play some sport or do whatever it is that relaxes you so that your brain can be more creative when you get back to work.

    Have No Expectations
Similar to living with no stress, but specifically no stress from the outcome.
When you create with love and passion and no expectation of the outcome, the chances are much greater that you will create something remarkable!

    Be Easy On Yourself
Stop criticizing yourself and stop being so harsh for yourself. Accept yourself the way you are and do things to the best of your ability.  You are enough and you are creative. Don’t let self-limiting beliefs block out your creativity! Remove the barriers and the ideas will begin to flow.
    Read
Reading stimulates the mind. The more you read, the more you open your mind up to new ways of thinking and thus the more creative you will become.

    read gif
    http://lyricsdog.in/s/read%20gif
I know that reading can be a bore, especially if you have to force yourself to do it. Just start small.
Choose a book on a topic that you like (it can even be about your favorite sport or artist) and spend 30 minutes before you go to bed reading that book. This way you can read 1-2 new books every month without it being a lot of effort, and it will definitely contribute to you being more creative.
